Vintage Royal Viking Star Cruise Ship Model Norwegian Line 41"L Local P.U. Only
eBay Here's a incredible large Royal Viking Star Cruise Ship. A rare find! It looks like a few small pieces probably broke off at some time. Pictures are the best description. Please view carefully. It measures 41" L x 5" W x 9"H, Base 44.5" x 7.25" no cover. Ships history; Royal Viking Star was built for Royal Viking Line in 1972. Royal Viking Star was the first of three sisterships, the others being Royal Viking Sea (1973) and Royal Viking Sky (1973). Royal Viking Line were acquired by Kloster (NCL) in 1984, and initially retained their separate identity. Royal Viking Star became the Westward in the main NCL fleet in 1990, and was then transferred to Royal Cruise Line in 1993 as the Star Odyssey. The Royal Viking Line name was sold to Cunard in 1994. Star Odyssey was sold to Fred. Olsen in 1996, becoming the Black Watch. In 2006 she will be joined in the Fred Olsen fleet by the Boudicca, originally her sister ship Royal Viking Sky. It does have the newer "hull art" that is predominant on all of NCL's ships today. I believe that the "hull art" was added to the "NCL Sun" in April 2006. The Norwegian Sun's artwork, a sunburst of red, orange and yellow with colorful streamers, was completed in April 2006 following her dry dock. The "Norwegian Sun" is a "Sky Class" ship and entered service in 2001 with a dual naming ceremony at the Port of Miami with her sister ship, the "Norwegian Star". It was refurbished in 2021. The French Lines SS France sailed for this company from from 1962 until 1974, She was finally scrapped in 2006. This lot includes 8 menus illustrated by Jean-Adrien Mercier, with what appear to be excerpts from poems on the back. Royal Caribbean MONARCH OF THE SEAS Cruise Ship Model -Early Model 1991-1997
eBay Up for sale is a 9"L x 4"H x 2.5"W model of Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas cruise ship. Although I don't know the exact year of this piece it is somewhere between 1991 when the ship was put into service and 1997 when RC updated their logo to read "Royal Caribbean International" and adding the colors of light blue, navy blue and yellow. This logo was then added to subsequent productions of the model which you will see on some of the other eBay listings. This model does not have the new RC logo dating it from 1991-1997.The model is made of resin and weighs 1.6 lbs. There are some condition issues which you should take into account before purchasing. There is a chip to the bow, one of the life boats is missing and a small orb that sits on the brown platform is also missing. All of these can be seen in the photos. I have taken the maximum number of photos (24) so you can judge its overall condition for yourself. Despite it's flaws, it is still in great condition. The colors are still bright and brilliant, it is clean, the graphics are clear with no fading or flaking of paint and it's clean. It's also a very interesting piece to add to your collection as the Monarch of the Seas has quite a storied history which I have included below if you are interested. Monarch of the Seas was sold by Royal Caribbean in 2013, after 22 years of service, to Spanish cruise line Pullmantur who later scrapped it in 2020 after filing for bankruptcy.Fun Facts about Monarch of the SeasBuilt in 1991 in France1/3 of the ship burned while afloat following a welding accident during its constructionThe ship was re-built and the burned metal was recycled to build Majesty of the SeasIn 1998 the Monarch of the Seas hit a reef off St. Maarten ripping open a 131 ft x 7 ft gash in the hull which caused it to begin to sink. The ship was intentionally grounded on a sandbar and all passengers evacuatedIn 2005 while docked in Los Angeles port, a hydrogen sulfide leak caused the death of 3 crew member and injured 19In 2006, then Captain Joern Klausen was found dead in his cabin due to natural causes. He was 38 years oldIn 2007, RC was the first major cruise line in the world to have a ship, Monarch of the Seas, captained by a woman. In 2013, after 22 years in service, RC sold the ship to Pullmantur Cruises who renamed it MS suspended operations in June 2020 due to the pandemic and filed for bankruptcy re-organization which resulted in the dismantling of the MS Monarch with anything of value being sold off.In late 2020, the shell of MS Monarch was sold for scrap metal.By July 2021 Pullmantur ceased operations altogether despite financial assistance from Royal Caribbean (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Here's a metal replica of the "MSC OPERA" Cruise Ship. Ship is made of metal (possibly pewter?) and measures 8" long x 7/8" wide x 1 1/2" tall. Wood base measures 9" x 2 7/8" x 3/4".MSC Opera is a cruise ship built in 2004, carrying 2,679 passengers in 1,071 cabins, and with a crew complement of approximately 728, currently operated by Swiss company MSC Cruises. She served as the flagship of the company until MSC Musica entered service in 2006.Ship looks great. Wooden base has a few dings in the glossy finish. eBay This is a Sankei butane lighter in the shape of a cruise ship. It was made in Japan. It measures 3 1/4 by 1 3/16 by 9/16 inches. It comes with the original box. The Norway was a cruise ship owned by Norwegian Cruise Line until 2003. She was sent to scrap in 2006. It is in excellent condition with one small aft chip. It comes from a pet and smoke free home.
